At seventy-one years of age, Dennis has been happily married for forty-six years, and is blessed with two children and six grandchildren. Dennis served in the Navy for six years as nuclear missile technician, and left as a disabled veteran. After his time in the Navy, Dennis worked as a mechanic/quality inspector on space shuttles for twenty years, then with quality assurance for the Department of Defense for twelve years before he retired. Dennis has a heart for teens that has led him to work as a youth pastor and as a high school wrestling for thirty-five years in five different states. Dennis’s heart of service has led him to volunteer in multiple soup kitchens and food pantries in multiple states, at Huntsville’s Downtown Rescue Mission, at the Florence Help Center (currently serving as a board member), and with Room in the Inn, Home Free Haven, and Shoals Shelter.
