Jimmy began serving in ministry in 1981. Since that time he has served as a pastor, a counselor, and founded and directed a prayer ministry as well as a drug and alcohol rehab center. In addition to his years of service in the church, Jimmy also spent ten years in the business world where he managed his own business while training others in management and business skills. 

His studies include social work at university and a degree in Pastoral Ministry from a bible school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He continued his graduate studies in the field of counseling and became a certified counselor in 2001.

Jimmy served for fifteen years as Administrative Pastor at Christ Chapel in Florence, Alabama, and as pastor at Magnolia Church in Florence for five years .

Jimmy has traveled around the world training church leaders, preaching in churches and at conferences, and providing food distribution to the needy. Jimmy presently serves as Executive Director of the Shoals Dream Center (formerly Loaves and Fishes) where he has served on and off for over thirty years.
