Kait Richardson
Program Director
Kait moved with her family from South Carolina to Florence in 2013, right after her fourteenth birthday, and never plans to leave her home in the Shoals.
Through a life of service under her parents’ steady guide, Kait has taken the servant heart they molded into adulthood and made it her own. Kait has been blessed to be part of church families that encourage, prioritize, and facilitate living out Matthew 25. Through her previous congregation, Petersville church of Christ, where she served with her family, and her home church, Highland Park church of Christ, Kait has worked in children’s, prison, nursing home, homeless, and ladies’ ministry. She has also gone on multiple international and domestic mission trips, building homes, conducting children’s and ladies’ workshops, and working with congregations to expand their current ministries.
Kait’s favorite ministry is the one in her own home. She is blessed to be a foster parent who raises children with the help of her amazing village, a village that Shoals Shelter volunteers and guests make up a large part of.
Kait looks for any way to serve the under-served, running on Dr. Pepper and a desire to imitate Jesus and His care for His children.
